⚡ Short version: We build what we agree to build, you pay what we agree on, you own what we build for you. Be straight with us and we'll be straight with you.
1. Services
Salty Security ("we," "us," "our") provides mobile app development, secure web development, AI-powered application development, landing page creation, and technology consulting services to clients ("you," "client") on a project basis.
Specific deliverables, timelines, and pricing for each project are defined in a separate written agreement or proposal provided prior to commencement of work.
2. Inquiries and Proposals
Submitting a contact form on saltysecurity.org does not constitute a binding agreement. Engagement begins only upon written acceptance of a formal project proposal and receipt of any required deposit.
3. Payment Terms
- Project fees are outlined in individual proposals and agreements
- A deposit may be required before work begins, as specified per project
- Remaining balances are due upon project completion unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Late payments may result in work being paused until balances are resolved
- All fees are in US Dollars unless otherwise specified
4. Intellectual Property and Ownership
Upon receipt of full payment, the client receives full ownership of all custom code, designs, and deliverables created specifically for their project. This excludes:
- Third-party libraries, frameworks, and open-source components (which carry their own licenses)
- Proprietary tools, templates, or internal systems used in the development process
- Any pre-existing code or assets owned by Salty Security prior to the project
5. Revisions and Scope
Each project proposal includes a defined scope of work. Requests outside the agreed scope may be subject to additional fees and timeline adjustments, which will be communicated and agreed upon in writing before additional work proceeds.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate project requirements, content, and feedback in a timely manner
- Securing necessary accounts, credentials, and access required for the project
- Reviewing and approving deliverables within agreed timelines
- Ensuring they have legal rights to any content, trademarks, or materials provided to us
7. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary business information shared during the course of a project engagement. We will not disclose client project details, business information, or technical specifications to third parties without written consent.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
All work is delivered in good faith to the highest professional standard. However, we make no guarantees regarding specific business outcomes, app store approval, revenue generated, or third-party platform behavior (Apple, Google, Stripe, etc.) which are outside our control.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability for any claim arising from a project shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for that specific project. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate a project engagement with written notice. In the event of termination, the client is responsible for payment of all work completed to the date of termination. Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in the project agreement.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing any legal remedies.
